The BIG3 is bringing the “number one urban sport in the world” to the global audience of sports fans on X starting on Saturday, June 15.

Founded by musician and actor Ice Cube in 2017, the BIG3 is taking 3-on-3, half-court basketball format — the most popular urban sport in the world — to the virtual stadium on X. 

Record-Breaking Viewership and Attendance

Now in its seventh season, the BIG3 has attracted a large following, with larger summer viewership compared to other major sports leagues including the WNBA, NHL, and MLS. 

During the 2022-2023 season, the BIG3 averaged 515,000 live viewers per game on CBS. In-person attendance broke BIG3 records with an average of 15,000 attendees per week. The coaching roster features basketball icons like Lisa Leslie, Julius “Dr. J” Erving, Nancy Lieberman, George “Iceman” Gervin, and Michael Cooper.
